Black women are being celebrated by the million-dollar brand, Izzy & Liv

In this lagniappe episode of ‘In The N.O. with Casey Ferrand,’ entrepreneur and mother, Nicole Brown took her Brown Sugar Box from a handheld box of surprises for women to a full size store full of goodies and even more surprises.

Nicole Brown is the founder and CEO of Izzy & Liv, a thriving lifestyle brand that celebrates the culture, confidence, and soul of the Black woman. Her dedication to putting Black women in the spotlight in everyday items from graphic tees to shower curtains, has filled a tremendous void in the market and turned Izzy & Liv into a million-dollar brand.
Since its 2014 debut, Izzy & Liv has been featured in Essence, Blavity, Bustle, and the Huffington Post, and has developed a massive global customer base. With a devoted community and growing team behind her, Nicole remains intensely focused on her goal of normalizing the essence of Black womanhood and moving it from the margin to the mainstream.

The Izzy & Liv brand was in New Orleans being cute with its “Out Here Being Cute” pop-up shop at LeMieux Galleries. It was their first ever showcase of this magnitude, which featured a giant replica of the popular Brown Sugar Box and three full days of fun and interactive activities to give back to the women of New Orleans. Casey Ferrand stopped in to discuss the growing brand with the owner.
